Square’s powerful integrated marketing tool helps businesses engage new and existing customers as busy holiday sales season approaches

Canadian businesses using Square have a new and improved way to engage with their customers. Square, which software, payments and hardware company, has launched Square Marketing in Canada, now available for businesses just in time for the holiday season.

Square Marketing helps businesses connect with new and existing customers, all in one place. The tool allows businesses to create, send, and track email marketing campaigns, promotions, discounts and coupons in minutes – from one-time email campaigns to personalized automations — expanding customer reach and helping sellers gain key business insights with analytics.

In the United States, where Square Marketing has been in market for more than a year, Square data revealed that in August 2021, 78 per cent of coupons and discounts sent through Square Marketing were redeemed within one week, up from 50 per cent  in January 2021.

The service helps restaurants drive buyer engagement and return on investment, plan ahead, automate, and send emails to customers, and measure campaign results using real-time tracking.

“After a challenging year and a half, we’re finally seeing a return to a new normal as we navigate new ways of doing business,” said Karisa Marra, business expert at Square Canada. “With the busy holiday shopping season upon us, now is the perfect time for businesses to plan their sales strategy and reconnect with customers in meaningful ways.”

Luke Nieuwland, co-owner and manager of Whiskey Run Golf Club in Port Colborne, Ont., recently integrated Square Marketing into his business’ ecosystem of Square tools and is pleased with its ease of use, segmentation capabilities and data insights.
