Participating locations across Ontario sold medium pepperoni pizzas for $4.39 plus tax from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Pizza Nova donated $1 from each medium pizza sold to Variety Village. The total raised this year was $118,602, Pizza Nova said in a news release.
Variety Village seeks to provide an accessible facility, specialized programs, dedicated staff, and a community in which everyone is equal and welcome, to children living with physical and mental disabilities.
“That’s Amore Pizza for Kids wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of customers who came out on May 8th to help us make a difference in a child’s life,” said the company’s president, Domenic Primucci.
Over the past 19 years, Pizza Nova has raised over $1.4 million for the charity.
