Ontario firm buys food delivery business

AcuTemp, a manufacturer of high performance insulation

delivery business to CoverTex Corporation in Brampton, Ont.

AcuTemp, a manufacturer of high performance insulation and mobile thermal management products, announced the sale of its food delivery business to CoverTex Corporation in Brampton, Ont.  The sale includes all the assets of the AcuTemp pizza oven and disc delivery system, which will now be manufactured, marketed and serviced by CoverTex. 

Additionally, CoverTex will be introducing a new line of Vac-Pac Therm-O-Pouch insulated hot bags for pizza and other meal delivery services. The new bags combine 28 years of CoverTex experience in providing high-quality products with AcuTemp’s ThermoCor high performance insulation for a superior food delivery solution.

 “The sale of the food delivery business is consistent with our strategy, namely to focus the company’s growth efforts on its line of products for the storage and transport of temperature sensitive goods in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets,” said Mike Mathile, president and CEO of AcuTemp.

Effective immediately, customers should contact CoverTex regarding the former AcuTemp food delivery products, including the pizza delivery system, pizza delivery discs, and insulated food delivery bags and hot packs.
