appointment of Wendy Hendry as the new director of regional marketing
for eastern Canada, effective immediately.
Boston Pizza International Inc. has announced the appointment of Wendy Hendry as the new director of regional marketing for eastern Canada, effective immediately.
In her new role, Hendry will provide overall marketing direction for the Eastern Canada market, including Ontario and Atlantic Canada, aimed at growing same-store sales and building brand equity. Working from Boston Pizza’s Mississauga office, she will manage a team of regional marketing managers and lead the development and execution of new marketing programs. Hendry will foster franchisee relations and maintain a strong presence in the Eastern markets. She will also lead the development of the community relations role and support regional programs that build sales and brand equity.
Before joining Boston Pizza International, Hendry spent 10 years at Prime Restaurant Group Inc., working for the past eight years as a marketing manager. Hendry led the development and positioning of marketing plans and strategic management of the East Side Mario’s brand.
Boston Pizza also announced the appointment of Susan Hunter to the newly created position of director of corporate communications. Hunter will oversee the planning and execution of internal and external communications for Boston Pizza International. Working from Boston Pizza’s head office in Richmond, B.C., and reporting to the vice president of marketing, she will develop and execute the company’s corporate communications strategy, identify public relations opportunities, and manage special events. Hunter will also oversee funding and communications related to the Boston Pizza Foundation.
