TO’s newest Boston Pizza opens with toy drive

December 13, 2010, Toronto – Toronto’s Beach Area is home to
a new Boston Pizza location that’s set to open its doors today.

The new restaurant, the chain’s 107th in Ontario,
is already playing a role in the community. As part of its grand opening
celebrations, the restaurant is inviting local residents to a special event and
toy drive on December 14th. The event is part of CTV’s Toy Mountain
campaign to benefit the Salvation Army.

Boston Pizza franchisees Gurpreet Toor, Rupinder Toor and
Kulbir Dhadwal are encouraging visitors to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the
restaurant between 5:00pm and 7:00pm on December 14th. The restaurant will
build a mountain of toys for a special live-to-air broadcast with CTV News
Toronto’s Tom Brown.

The new restaurant is located at 16A-1 Leslie Street. It features
seating for 134 people in the dining room and another 86 guests in the sports
bar. The sports bar also features a number of high-definition flat-screen
televisions as well as state-of-the-art sound and video equipment making it the
perfect place to watch major sporting events. The restaurant also features a
46-seat patio with a great view of the Toronto skyline as well as the perfect
vantage point for watching summer sunsets by the lake.
