October 20, 2011, Barrie, ON – The Toppazzini family is continuing its tradition of delicious pizza with the grand opening of a second Topper’s Pizza store in Hamilton, Ont.
The new store, located at Rymal Road and Upper Gage, is the first in southern Ontario to sport the Topper’s brand redesigned store interior. The new design is inspired by the legacy of the original Toppazzini Bakery near Sudbury, Ont., where the company had its start delivering freshly baked bread to local residents each morning.
“We’re returning to our roots with our new look,” said Keith Toppazzini, president of Topper’s Franchise Company Inc., owner of the Topper’s Pizza brand. “The design of our newest southern Ontario location is intended to reflect the warmth of a family-run business and emphasizes our commitment to delivering delicious food to the communities we serve, a tradition my great grandfather started more than 100 years ago.”
The new store on Rymal Road is the third location for Hamilton franchisee Gus Karouzakis. It boasts the signature brick archway of the Toppazzini Bakery as a reminder of one of the brand’s key differentiators – an authentic 100-year old family bread dough recipe – and is designed to make consumers feel right at home with a warm and inviting family atmosphere.
In 1904, the Toppazzini bakery was a successful local business in Sudbury, Ont.. Today, the Toppazzinis have earned their place as ‘the first family of pizza’ with a growing pizza franchise and a province-wide chain of stores that is aiming to hit the 300 mark in the next eight years.
“We’re poised for aggressive growth,” said Toppazzini, adding that all franchise locations are supported by a new branding initiative that includes a crisper logo, updated tagline, interactive social media campaigns and a menu that boasts one-of-a-kind specialty pizzas. “Our ultimate goal is to generate opportunities for both existing and new franchise partners, and this store is an example of what’s to come.
The newest Topper’s Pizza, located at 905 Rymal Road, will celebrate its grand opening on Oct. 20. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, cake, prizes and giveaways.
