“One of our commitments to the restaurant companies that use our products is to submit new releases of our software to rigorous security audits and recertification,” said SpeedLine vice-president of development Terry Haan.

To keep up with new regulations and advancements in data security, PCI security auditing and validation have been standard practice at SpeedLine since 2008.

“Restaurant operators are required to safeguard the privacy of their customers’ credit card data and personal information,” Haan said. “We believe we have an obligation to our customers, as their technology partner, to ensure that our software meets the latest security standards to help them maintain compliance.”

SpeedLine 6.3 successfully passed an audit by PCI auditor Coalfire Systems, Inc., and was validated by the PCI Security Standards council late last year.
