Researchers engineer shape-shifting noodles

Cambridge, MA – Researchers from MIT’s Tangible Media Group have created flat sheets of gelatin and starch that, when submerged in water, instantly sprout into three-dimensional structures, including common pasta shapes such as macaroni and rotini.
