Boston Pizza partners with Hockey Night in Canada

Toronto – Casual dining restaurant chain Boston Pizza will partner with Hockey Night in Canada to cross-promote their brands.

Boston Pizza’s more than 390 locations will create an atmosphere where fans can cheer on their home teams with fun games for guests of all ages, special contests and prizes, including a behind-the-scenes trip to the Hockey Night in Canada studios.

“Boston Pizza has always been the place for Canadians to ‘Gather Round’ in their communities and no tradition has brought Canadians together better than Hockey Night in Canada,” said James Kawalecki, senior director of marketing, Boston Pizza International, in a news release. “We see a lot of synergy between our two brands and look forward to creating the best Hockey Night in Canada experience for our guests.”

As part of the three-year sponsorship deal, Boston Pizza restaurants will be outfitted with Hockey Night in Canada branding, including all take-out-and-delivery containers. On Saturday nights, managers and servers will wear Hockey Night in Canada baby blue blazers and hockey jerseys.

The brand will enjoy a regular presence on the network’s popular, multi-platform programs on Thursdays, including a custom hockey feature on Tim and Sid and a presenting sponsorship of Hockey Central on Thursdays throughout the regular season.
