Jan. 14, 2009, Collingwood, Ont. – Topper’s Pizza has announced the winner of their ‘U Design It U
Wear It’ t-shirt contest, which management says was a great motivator
for employees.
Cindy Jones,
an employee at the Topper’s Orleans location just outside Ottawa, designed a colourful red t-shirt, with a green stripe down one
side that features Topper’s fresh cut vegetables and trademark top hat.
“I do a lot of
prep for Topper’s. I fresh cut all the vegetables every morning and my t-shirt design reflects that Topper’s is
all about fresh food,” says Cindy.
From a
management perspective, Topper’s marketing director Emaan Toppazzini says the
contest was a great motivator for the employees.
“I think the
contest helped to underscore the fact that with a bit of effort you can make
the workplace a fun place to be and at the same time give employees more of a
say in what they wear to work.”
