May 4, 2011, Toronto – Chairman’s Brand Corporation has acquired New Orleans Pizza from the Vivian Group of Companies.
The New Orleans Pizza chain launched in 1978. Today, there are 67 locations in southwestern and northern Ontario.
“The strategic acquisition of New Orleans Pizza complements our family of brands, and supports our corporate growth plan,” says Tom Michalopoulos, chairman and CEO of Chairman’s Brand. “There is enormous potential to build our brands by leveraging the manufacturing expertise of the Vivian Group with the franchising expertise of Chairman’s Brands.”
Chairman’s Brand Corporation has over 460 locations operating across Canada, in addition to franchise locations in Europe, China and the Middle East. The Chairman’s Brand family includes 241 Pizza, Coffee Time Donuts, Robin’s Donuts, Eggsmart, The Friendly Greek and Mrs. Powell’s.
