“Gabriel Pizza is such a recognized household name,” Ottawa
Food Bank executive director Michael Maidment said in a news release. “We’re
honoured to continue our partnership with them, along with their customers and
suppliers, to benefit our community.”

The goal is to sell 10,000 pounds of extra-large pizzas and
effectively donate the equivalent weight of food to participating food banks
from Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.

“This is a time of year when our food banks are looking for
additional donations,’ Gabriel’s president George Hanna said. “Gabriel Pizza is
privileged to support these amazing organizations and our community. Pound for
pound, we’re inspired to make a difference.”
