Kingston, Ont. – Gabriel Pizza along with the Kingston Frontenacs hockey club is having some fun with a pizza contest while building new fan support for the OHL team.
The hockey team and Gabriel Pizza are also dropping off a Barrack and Frontza pizza to local media to bring awareness to the contest and let them try it. The goal is to generate smiles and have a good time, the Eastern Ontario chain said in a news release.
This contest is built around a campaign Gabriel used to launch the Ottawa RedBlack Pizza in Ottawa, the release said. The North Side vs South Side Contest garnered the football team a national marketing award from the CFL at their annual competition.
Since Oct. 4, Gabriel Pizza has been giving Kingston Frontenacs fans two new recipes and encouraging everyone to cast their vote for their favourite pizza:
The Barrack: Pepperoni, Mushroom, Green Pepper, Sausage and Bacon.
The Frontza: Pineapple, Chorizo, Black Olive and Hot Pepper.
The signature pizzas are available at both Gabriel Pizza Kingston locations and by the slice at the K-Rock Centre until Nov. 4.
Fans can cast a vote through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by posting a message or picture with the hashtag #GABESBARRACK or #GABESFRONTZA.
