October 22, 2010, Red Bank, NJ – Pizza Cono manufacturer Cono Italiano and Carte Blanche, the manufacturer of Crossfilm Cooking products, have teamed up to develop a new method for cooking pizza cones.

The duo has developed a cooking apparatus and cone holder to prepare Cono Italiano’s drip-free, cone shaped pizzas in high-speed efficiency ovens. The cooking apparatus is made from a Polyetrafluorethylene (PFTE) composite designed specifically for food contact. As the surface of the food zone wears down, it is designed to expose a new PFTE surface in order to extend the life of the cooking apparatus.

“The development of this device will be instrumental in the launch of the pizza cone into the QSRs and convenience stores,” said Mitchell Brown, CEO of Cono Italiano. “It will allow the consumer to purchase our product at store level using fresh ingredients, at the same time maintaining the integrity of the product and a fresh crisp and crunchy dough.”

Crossfilm Cooking products can be used in temperatures ranging from -100F to 600F. They are grease resistant, non-stick and dishwasher safe.
