Registration is now open for Restaurant Canada’s upcoming online webinar, An Overview of the Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations with Environment and Climate Change Canada, taking place on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 2-3 p.m. EST.

With the Canadian Government’s Single-use Plastics Prohibition underway, and the ban on the sale of certain single-use plastics starting in December 2023, Environment and Climate Change Canada will join Restaurants Canada to discuss tactics to enable pizzerias and restaurants to move away from the use and distribution of single-use plastic takeaway items such as straws, eating utensils, shopping bags, and polystyrene foam and black plastic food-service ware such as containers, cups, plates, bowls and boxes.

Webinar attendees will learn the fine details of the Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations, get a sense of how the prohibition will impact you, become aware of available information and resources to help you prepare for compliance, get insight on the federal government’s approach to enforcement and discuss approaches to selecting alternatives, with a focus on reuse options.
