OpenTable adds restaurant meal delivery through Uber Eats
By Canadian Pizza
Features Business and Operations DeliveryToronto – Online restaurant reservations company OpenTable will partner with Uber Eats to provide delivery at select Canadian restaurants on OpenTable’s updated iOS app.
In addition to having on-premise dining options, customers may now choose from the restaurant delivery service to order a meal. By adding delivery as an option, OpenTable provides a more comprehensive picture of dining choices in one place, the company said in a news release.
When searching for a restaurant or visiting a restaurant profile page on OpenTable’s iOS app, diners will see a “Get it delivered” button. Diners who choose delivery are then directed to Uber Eats to complete the transaction.
At launch, Uber Eats will provide delivery for nearly 700 restaurants in seven provinces on the app. Future features will include estimated delivery time and cost.
