The Dexit electronic payment facilitation service for small transactions will be available at over 160 Pizza Pizza restaurants for use by walk-in customers.
Dexit Inc., based in Toronto, has pioneered the “instead of cash” electronic payment facilitation for small transactions (generally under $25). The Dexit service enables consumers to pay for low-cost items quickly and conveniently with the tap of a RFID (radio frequency identification) tag linked to a pre-paid account.
New customers will now be able to pick up Dexit tags and activate them at any of the 160 participating Pizza Pizza locations. Existing customers will be able refill their accounts at the merchant outlets, or online.
