FAT Brands announces return of Andrew Wiederhorn as CEO

FAT Brands Inc., parent company of Fatburger, Johnny Rockets, Round Table Pizza, and 15 other restaurant concepts, has announced the return of Andrew Wiederhorn as chief executive officer.

In a news release the company said Ken Kuick will be exclusively focused on his roles as chief financial officer of FAT Brands and Twin Hospitality Group Inc., and Taylor Wiederhorn will continue to serve as chief development officer.

“I am grateful to both Ken and Taylor for their time as co-CEO’s where they were instrumental in accelerating growth across our portfolio of brands,” Wiederhorn said in the release, counting organic expansion, targeted acquisitions, increasing manufacturing capacity among its priorities.

FAT Brands currently owns 18 restaurant brands: Round Table Pizza, Fatburger, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Twin Peaks, Great American Cookies, Smokey Bones, Hot Dog on a Stick, Buffalo’s Cafe & Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, Elevation Burger, Native Grill & Wings, Yalla Mediterranean and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, and franchises and owns more than 2,300 units worldwide.
