COVID-19 Updates News Business and Operations Health & Safety
Richmond, B.C. — WorkSafeBC has released guidance to restaurants and resources for employers resuming operations as part of phase 2 of the provincial government’s restart plan.
The province’s protocols are for employers in restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as any other employer who sells food and drink on its premises, according to a news statement from WorkSafeBC.
The guidelines suggest employers may also benefit from reviewing other protocols if their workplace includes other work environments such as office space or retail services. They require that employers ensure they are abiding by any orders, notices or guidance issued by the provincial health officer, and the appropriate health authority, that are relevant to their workplace.
