Yum! Brands break fundraising record for hunger relief initiative

Jan. 10, 2014, Louisville, KY – Yum! Brands’ 2013 World Hunger Relief raised a record-breaking $37 million in cash and food donations for the United Nations’ World Food Program and other hunger relief agencies.
The annual program featured multi-Grammy award winner Christina Aguilera.
The company stated in a news release that World Hunger Relief is the world’s largest private sector hunger relief effort, spanning more than 130 countries and territories, 40,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants and more than 1.5 million employees and franchise associates.
Every U.S. dollar raised goes directly toward United Nation’s World Food Program’s operations.
