Vaughan, Ont. — Vaughan Pizza Fest in the Greater Toronto Area will return June 17-19 after a hiatus due to the pandemic.

The public event will feature pizza and other food, beverage and dessert vendors, and music and comic entertainment.

Presented by La Piazza Wood Ovens, Vaughan Pizza Fest is an event where the public can sample pizzas from more than a dozen pizzerias, food and dessert vendors, enjoy refreshments, dance along to live music and enjoy live comedy acts.

The event has been held each summer since 2016.

Headlining act Adassa — who voiced Dolores in the Golden Globe- and Oscar-winning Encanto — will sing songs from the film, in an afternoon performance on June 18. She will also meet fans for a free autograph signing and photo opportunity session.

Joe Avati, the Australian-Italian comic who holds the record for the fastest-selling comedy show in Canada and Canadian comic Lu Sicilianu Raggiatu will perform in the evenings. Also appearing will be Toronto’s Roberta Battaglia, the singing prodigy who placed fourth on America’s Got Talent at the age of 10.

The event will take place outdoors at the Improve Canada plaza on Keele Street and Steeles Avenue near Highway 407 in Vaughan, Ont.
