University pizza-box contest gives students chance at photo fame

Toronto – Pizza Pizza is running a back-to-school promotion at selected Ontario universities that gives students a chance at having their face featured on the company’s next pizza box.

As part of the company’s Frosh Tour and #PizzaFamous contest, students may take a photo in Pizza Pizza’s photo booth for a chance to have their face featured on the chain’s next box. The pizza chain will also give out free slices and discount coupons to students just for entering with a goal of giving away over 30,000 slices during the tour.

The tour will make stops at key events at 11 universities, including carnivals, sidewalk sales, concerts and tailgate parties, as part of the company’s #ShareTheMoment social media campaign.

“Students are a huge part of our business and, therefore, we want to reflect that on our packaging in an exciting way,” said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza, in a news release.
