Two arrested for pizza store holdup

Dec. 3, 2008 – Toronto – Two men have been arrested in connection with an Oakville pizza store heist.

Two men have been arrested in connection with an Oakville pizza store heist.

They've been charged with robbing a Gino's Pizza at 1289 Marlborough Court on Nov. 18 just before 11 p.m.

Although no weapon was seen, the suspects made it appear that they were concealing one, police said.

Police
said at the time that an employee was pushed to the floor by one of the
culprits when he didn't respond fast enough for the demand for money
from the cash register.

Police said the employee got back to his
feet and a struggle ensued. During this struggle the cash register fell
to the floor where it opened and money was scattered.

The suspects gathered up an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

Police
said a store employee pursued the suspects on foot while the second
employee hearing the commotion arrived on scene and notified police.

Police said tips from the public assisted investigators in making the arrests.

Kevin
Michael Reid, 21, of no fixed address has been charged with robbery and
two counts of fail to comply with a probation order.

Derek Holden, Johne, 20, of no fixed address, was also charged with robbery.
