The end of negative growth

July 24, 2009
By Laura Aiken
The Bank of Canada says we can expect a 1.3
per cent annualized growth rate this quarter, which is certainly a statistical
cause for celebration.
Unfortunately, the personal recovery for
those most affected will not be miraculously obtained by this announcement.
There are still many looking to fit back into a workplace they were abruptly
squeezed from. But hopefully this news will kick start consumer confidence and
anyone who switched to buying frozen pies in a recession to get their fix will
resume their need for nothing-beats fresh pizza.
For now, onwards and upwards until the next
battle.
