Feb. 10, 2009, Montreal – The Hotel and Restaurant Suppliers
Association (HRSA) held its annual Gala Reconnaissance to honour 10 business
personalities for their contributions to economic development in Quebec.
Each person received a Pilgrim's Stick in appreciation for
their efforts. In making this symbolic gesture, HRSA was recognizing their courage,
tenacity, and physical and moral support, and encourages them to pass these
qualities along to the emerging young talent in the hotel and restaurant industry.
The recipients were: Louis Roquet, president and CEO,
Desjardins Venture Capital; Alfonso Argento, president and CEO, Seven Brothers
Construction; Christiane Germain, co-president and CEO, Groupe Germain; Howard
Bowles, newly elected chairperson of HRSA's Board of Directors; Cora
Tsouflidou, founding president, Cora's Restaurants; Guy Latraverse, president,
Sogestalt Télévision Québec; Denise Cornellier, president, Cornellier Traiteur;
and André Dion, president, Société Guyon; Jean Fontaine, president, Terroir
Etcetera; Pierre Bibeau, senior corporate vice-president, Communications and
Public Affairs, Loto-Québec; and Robert Trudeau, chairman of the board, Trudeau
Corporation.
