Tasting event to highlight ‘Made in Italy’ products

News Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario madeinitalyToronto – The Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario and Lady York Foods will hold a free public tasting event featuring designated or certified Italian cheese, cured meats, coffee, cookies and Italian wines specially chosen by the commission to showcase the quality of authentic “Made in Italy” goods.
The tasting will take place at Lady York Foods on Dufferin Street in Toronto on Saturday, April 30, from 12 to 5 p.m. Participants can learn the meaning of label designations on bona fide Italian products like DOP, IGP, and DOC and have the chance to win a gift basket of Italian goods.
The event is organized by the commission as part of its ongoing campaign, The Extraordinary Italian Taste, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
The following products or products from the following companies will be available for tasting: Parmigiano Reggiano, Gorgonzola Ballarini, Prosciutto di Parma, Espresso Saquella, Milano Cantuccini, Milano Sfogliatine, Barbera d’Asti Superiore 2013 and Moscato d’Asti 2015.
