Plano, TX – Pizza Hut expects its U.S. restaurants to fill up to 11,000 jobs as Super Bowl Sunday approaches.

The uptick in hiring is in anticipation of the big sales day but also reflects the commitment to improve the customer experience, fuelling restaurant growth and unlocking the best potential in all restaurant employees, Pizza Hut said in a news release.

The 11,000 positions estimated to be available are offered by Pizza Hut corporate-owned restaurants and many of the locally owned and -operated franchise restaurants across the country. Positions include pizza makers, delivery drivers and store managers.

“The Pizza Hut system is looking for 11,000 new go-getters to give our fans as positive of an experience as possible,” said Kelly McCulloch, senior director of human resources. “We’re committed to improving the overall customer experience. This starts with our restaurants recruiting top talent, and training team members to perform at their absolute best.”

Pizza Hut said it strives to offer a work environment that sets employees up for success and for growth opportunities. In 2015, the company launched the Life Unboxed EDU initiative, helping team members reach their full potential. The program offers employees at company-owned restaurants and participating franchisees – and their families – 50 per cent off tuition to attend career-boosting educational courses at Excelsior College
