A new cloud-based point-of-sale system called Squirrel Cloud is available to restaurants of all sizes.
The cloud-based POS system, introduced at the National Restaurant Association’s annual show in Chicago, is designed to help restaurants win in this new time of rapid technology adoption within the industry, Squirrel Systems said in a press release.
Customers can select from hospitality-grade Squirrel terminals such as the new WS150 series, and iOS, Windows or Android tablets providing them a wide choice of hardware in the industry.
The platform is built on Microsoft Azure, which the company said is used by many Fortune 500 companies.
“In Squirrel’s history, our software platform has been reinvented on several occasions to take advantage of new technology and continually provide our customers a modern platform to run their restaurants,” said Jason Leeson, president of Squirrel Systems. “Squirrel Cloud is our most ambitious technology evolution to date, driven by input from our most innovative customers and partners.”
The Squirrel Cloud POS is now available as an early access program to counter- and table-service restaurants. Customers who qualify for the program will have the opportunity to refresh their restaurant operation with new POS hardware free of charge.
