Jan. 7, 2014, Abbotsford, BC – Pizza point-of-sale provider SpeedLine Solutions has completed an end-to-end technology overhaul of its point-of-sale technology.
These technology improvements are designed to increase performance and security, and will allow restaurant companies to take advantage of new integrations and emerging software.
“The most persistent complaint we hear from restaurant chains who are evaluating new POS vendors is that they feel hamstrung by their existing POS systems, and are looking for a scalable, open architecture alternative,” said Jay Daunheimer, Speedline’s product and technology manager, in a news release. “This overhaul of our development environment and code base will help ensure that our clients’ investment in POS software never becomes the limiter to their adoption of new technology solutions.”
The overhaul included upgrades to the entire platform, database and reporting engine. Upgrades will support integration with new online and mobile services, platforms and peripherals. The project also addressed restaurant clients’ long-term cost of ownership, with performance enhancements to extend the lifespan for legacy hardware.
