7shifts scheduling software and mobile app are designed to help restaurants manage and evaluate the performance of shift workers.

Restaurant managers use it to assign employees to shifts and approve requests; while staff use it to view their upcoming shifts and submit requests for manager approval, the company said in a press release.

Features include unlimited text message and email notifications, support for multiple locations, labour costs forecasting and a manager logbook. The software provides daily and weekly labour calculations and allows staff to bid on a shift.

Employees can check their schedule and submit requests from anywhere with the 7shifts mobile app. In turn, managers can manage shift changes, approve time off requests and more.

“We are laser focused on restaurants and deliver scheduling software that our customers love,” said Jordan Boesch, founder and chief executive officer of 7shifts.

Unlike other employee scheduling software solutions, 7shifts is only focused on restaurants. With its highly targeted approach, 7shifts has partnered and integrated with restaurant software, including point-of-sale systems such as TouchBistro, Toast, and Cake.

The company offers a 28-day free trial and a no-contract subscription.
