Restaurants Canada Show to host pavilions, seminars and ‘Canada’s Top 10 Restaurants’

Toronto – Restaurants Canada will host its annual trade show Feb. 28, 29 and March 1 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto.

The three-day event is designed to bring together the industry for seminars, competitions, demonstrations, workshops and product displays, Restaurants Canada said in a news releasee.

This year’s show – themed “Hospitality Unleashed” – will feature dedicated pavilions and educational content in the areas of restaurant design, bar and beverage, coffee and tea, pizza and technology.

A pizza pavilion sponsored by Faema Canada and Moretti Forni will feature Pizza Master Christian Zaghini will provide a step-by-step pizza-making demonstration and explore the latest trends in Italy.

This year organizers will announce Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants at the show, which also will host several competitions: Top Shelf Bartender of the Year, Foodable’s Top Dish, Humber College Iron Chef, and the Canadian Coffee and Tea Show’s Café Latte Art Challenge.

The event also will serve as a forum for the screening of two industry documentaries – Fast Casual and Craft Beer Artisans – and such topics as menu labelling and the tipping debate.

The Restaurants Canada Show will run Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and March 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Sunday through Tuesday) at the Enercare Centre at 100 Princes’ Blvd.

Cost is $40 when registering prior to Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., and $60 when registering after Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. Admission is free for Restaurants Canada members.
