Restaurant Brands to expand to 40,000 locations

News burger king popeyes restaurant brands international tim hortonsToronto – Restaurant Brands International Inc. plans to grow from some 26,000 Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes restaurants to more than 40,000 restaurants worldwide over the next decade.
The move will make Restaurant Brands International one of the largest restaurant companies in the world, the company said at an investor day on May 15 in New York City.
The plan is to take advantage of compelling long-term growth in the international quick-service restaurant market, with the five-year outlook for growth in the international burger market expected to be five per cent annually and growth in the international coffee and chicken markets expected to be six per cent annually.
Restaurant Brands International has built a master franchise network has expanded its restaurant base from approximately 12,000 in 2010 to nearly 26,000 today, growing system-wide sales from about $15 billion to more than $32 billion in the same time period in more than 100 countries.
