October 5, 2011, Simcoe, ON – Get your recipes in! The entry deadline for this year's Canadian Pizza magazine Chef of the Year contest is Nov. 20.
Each entry must be accompanied by an approximately 100-word explanation of why your pizza deserves to be named Canada's best. Finalists may be asked to submit menus from their pizzeria/restaurant, as entry rules require that pizza must represent a minimum of 40 per cent of your total menu.
The winner will receive a trip to Las Vegas, March 13 – 15, 2012, to attend the International Pizza Expo, plus $1,000. The prize includes flight, hotel, registration fee for Pizza Expo and the International Pizza Challenge, and a guaranteed spot in the traditional or non-traditional finals – your choice!
One runner up will also receive a trip package to Las Vegas, registration for Pizza Expo and the International Pizza Challenge, and a guaranteed spot in the traditional or non-traditional finals (category to be determined by winner's choice).
Canada's Pizza Chef of the Year will be announced on Dec. 12.
