Aug. 28, 2012, ON – The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) recently launched a program available for retailers looking to retrofit their locations for environmental reasons called the Energy Efficiency Lending program.
An energy retrofit is the process of making improvements to the infrastructure of a building that results in saved energy and therefore money. This lending program is designed to provide clients with cost savings. It also provides other benefits such as goodwill through sustainable practices in a business’ operations, a favourable working environment, lending on future cash flow savings attributed to the energy efficiency retrofit, and increase the value of one’s business.
A pilot program for retail clients in Ontario is already underway with a national roll out expected later next year.
