September 8, 2011, Mississauga, ON – Rational assembled and shipped its 500,000 combi oven on June 1.
To celebrate the accomplishment, Rational hosted a company-wide breakfast in one of the manufacturing plants on the rational campus in Landsberg am Lech, Germany.
"This marks a milestone for Rational worldwide," said Vinod Jotwani, director of sales and marketing for Rational USA & Canada. "As the leader in cooking technology, we are very proud of this exciting accomplishment."
The 500,000th oven turned out was a 201 Electric Model SelfCooking Centre, a commercial cooking appliance designed to eliminate the need for manual input of time, temperature, or climate.
The unit was shipped to Berlin's famous Radio Tower, an historic landmark and popular tourist destination.
