Toronto – PizzaForno, a company whose vending machines are open 24/7, is launching take-and-bake pizzas in addition to its existing fast-bake option.

The company backed up this move with Neilsen research which suggests nearly 75 per cent of Canadian households have purchased a bake-at-home pizza since March 2021.

According to the owners, word of mouth and a spike in interest in touchless food options are also fueling the company’s growth.

PizzaForno’s 10-foot by 10-foot kiosks are located across Canada adjacent to restaurants and convenience stores, and within food courts and gas stations at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant franchise with about 75 per cent less overhead, suggests Les Tomlin, Canadian co-founder, in a news release.

PizzaForno vending machines are fully automated and require no staffing. A robotic arm takes the customer’s selection from the refrigerated section of the pizza kiosk and conveys it into a patented oven, where it is baked, boxed and served.

The kiosks serve seven different types of pizzas ranging from $11-$14 each.

Within the next five years PizzaForno expects to have thousands of kiosks in operation across North America.
