Toronto – Pizza Pizza is offering a Smile Pizza during its 12th annual Slices for Smiles promotion that donates a portion of proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network Canada.

From April 23 to 29, Pizza Pizza is offering customers a medium pizza, topped with a pepperoni smile for $5.99 – a one-dollar discount off the regular price of a medium pepperoni pizza. A portion of proceeds going to local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network Canada, the chain said in a news release.

“Like our customers, we realize the tremendous importance of our local children’s hospitals,” said Paul Goddard, chief executive officer at Pizza Pizza Ltd. “The work they do makes a huge difference in the lives of so many children in our community and we’re honoured to support them again through our annual Slices for Smiles fundraiser.”

Pizza Pizza launched Slices for Smiles in 2007, and to date has raised more than $3 million for children’s causes and Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in Canada. Last year, the company raised a record $500,000 through the promotion.

The Smile Pizza is available as an add-on to any pizza order placed in-store, over the phone, online or via one of Pizza Pizza’s various mobile ordering apps. The company is also inviting customers to top-off their orders with a monetary donation that will be directed in its entirety to CMN.

The campaign is running in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. Funds from each location will stay within the community in which they are raised, and support the nearest Children’s Miracle Network member hospital in that region, the release said.
