Pizza Pizza launches “Cash is King”

Jan. 20, 2009, Toronto – In order to help Canadians cope with
the recent economic climate and desire to save money post-Christmas, Pizza Pizza launched "Cash is
King", where $500 is awarded to customers in a daily draw.

Each day, beginning Jan. 12 through Feb. 15, one customer will be selected and win $500. The contest coincides with the
launch of a new website and online ordering system. Customers ordering through

will be automatically entered into the draw.


“The timing of our website redesign, especially when
supported by such a wide-scale giveaway incentive, could not be better,” said
Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer at Pizza Pizza. “This type of promotion
shows customers our commitment to helping their dollars go further – a model
we’ve followed since 1967.”

The new online ordering system offers convenience and
options unmatched in the Canadian pizza segment. Users are able to create
profiles based on eating occasions, such as “My Poker Night Order” or “My
Hockey Team Order”, retrieve past orders, browse the Pizza Pizza menu, or
customize their own pizzas choosing from a variety of crust options, sauces and
over 30 toppings. The new website also allows for orders to be placed up to
seven days in advance.
