In April Pizza Pizza came out with an invention, the Dip Roller, modelled after an everyday paint roller and tray and designed to apply an even coat of dipping sauce to every slice of pizza.

Pizza Pizza first introduced dipping sauces to its menu more than 20 years ago, one of the first in the category to offer dips.

According to a recent survey, the chain found that more than 70 per cent of Canadians say dip is an important factor when deciding where to order pizza from and many apply dip to their entire slice.

“As a leader in Canadian pizza dipping, we know the challenges that come with evenly applying Creamy Garlic dip to a triangular pizza slice. There had to be a better way.” said Adrian Fuoco, vice-president of marketing.

The Dip Roller was created in partnership with Zulu Alpha Kilo as part of a national campaign of online video, social, digital and out-of-home advertising. It was a limited-run promotion available to lucky dippers who enter at diproller.ca.
