June 3, 2014 – Pizza Pizza has launched a
line of quesadillas, called Pizza-dillas.

Pizza-dilla options include steak, chicken
and veggie. Each Pizza-dilla is made fresh and carefully prepared on location,
with quality ingredients, using a process that was perfected at the company’s
training centre. The research and development phase lasted six months.

“I place the pizza on a pretty high
pedestal, but this new Pizza-dilla packs a pretty palatable punch at a price
point that’s easy to digest. These cheesy delights are a savoury alternative to
the usual quick-serve options that are available,” said Pat Finelli, chief marketing
officer for Pizza Pizza, in a media statement.

Priced at $5.99, each Pizza-dilla is
wrapped in a 12-inch flour tortilla and comes with a choice of sour cream or
marinara sauce.

The line consists of three options: chicken,
made with mozzarella and green and roasted red peppers; steak, made with mozzarella
and red onions; and veggie, made with feta cheese, goat cheese and spinach.

Pizza-dillas are available now at all
traditional locations in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan for dine-in
or takeout only. The company expects the new category of product to remain a
permanent fixture on its menu.
