April 4, 2012, Toronto – Pizza Nova took home top honours at the
Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) 2012 National Convention gala dinner, held at the
Sheraton Niagara Falls in Ontario on Monday night.

Pizza Nova was first honoured with the gold prize in the traditional
franchises (i.e. brick and mortar locations) in the mature/established
category.

From amongst the gold winners in each category, the franchise system
with the highest overall score was then awarded the most-coveted and
prestigious award presented by the Canadian Franchise Association, the
CFA Awards of Excellence in Franchising Grand Prize.

"Now I know what it feels like to get an Academy Award!" said a jubilant
Domenic Primucci, president of Pizza Nova who accepted the award on
behalf of Pizza Nova, thanking his franchisees, his staff and of course,
his father, who founded the company in 1963. The award itself features
two figures stepping in unison, symbolizing the franchisor and
franchisee moving forward together.

The CFA Awards of Excellence in Franchising is the pinnacle of franchise achievement in Canada and is the highest recognition a franchise system can receive from the CFA. Franchise systems compete each year for the title of winner through an independent process that evaluates the calibre and strength of their franchisee relations. The CFA Awards are presented annually to franchise systems that have demonstrated a dedication to superior franchisee relations, team work and communication and are decided based on the results of a survey, hosted by a third-party research firm and completed by CFA member franchisees about their experiences with their franchise system and relationships with the franchisor.
