Feb. 27, 2013 – Pizza Nova is gearing up to celebrate their 50th anniversary with contests, promotions and festivities throughout the year.
In January they launched a contest inviting customers to share online with them their fondest Pizza Nova moments and memories. "We hear so many amazing stories from our customers and thought this would be an excellent opportunity and forum for them to share even more of those memories with us." said Domenic Primucci, president of Pizza Nova, in a press release.
"Some of the stories we're receiving are just so sweet and inspiring, it really reminds us how many beautiful experiences are created through the simple act of sitting down and sharing a great pizza," said Stephanie Angelone, vice-president of marketing.
Hundreds of photos have also been submitted, providing snapshots of Friday family pizza night and dinner romance.
One customer wrote, "When I was 16 years old, my then future husband took me to a restaurant called Pizza Nova in Scarborough. Forty-plus years later, we live in Whitby, but still make the drive to that Pizza Nova. It's the one place we feel familiar and have a sense of history for our relationship."
The company says it has received thousands of entries. Three lucky winners will win a trip for two to Rome, Italy plus $500 in spending money. The contest closes March 31.
