Pizza Nova awarded Ontario Family Enterprise of the Year award
This year's Family Enterprise of the Year Award was presented to Sam Primucci, founder and president
of Pizza Nova.



The Family Enterprise of the Year
Award, presented annually by The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise
(CAFE), recognizes the significant achievement made by a Canadian family
enterprise. This year's GTA award was presented to Sam Primucci, founder and president
of Pizza Nova, at the Feb. 23 award ceremony that took place at Toronto's
Rosewater Café.

This annual award, sponsored by KPMG and RBC, is presented
locally for all CAFE Chapters across the country with the winners being
eligible for the National Award. Primucci who opened the very first Pizza Nova
location at the corner of Kennedy and Lawrence in 1963, thanked CAFE for the
tremendous honour and offered words of advice for second and third generation
Ontarians in attendance. "Never forget where you came from, or how you got
here. Always have the courage to evolve, to stay ahead of the times. While,
always staying focused on where you are going."

Primucci also thanked his wife and sons while citing the
importance of open communication, of active listening and of relationships
established and maintained through genuine, mutual respect.

Those businesses also nominated as finalists at yesterday's
presentation were LEAPJob, The Printing House Limited and Bona Vista Pools.

The National Family Enterprise of the Year Award
will be presented in May 2009.
