Pizza Hut adds vegan cheese to U.K. menu

United Kingdom – After a trial period in a handful of Pizza Hut restaurants across the U.K., the chain will add vegan cheese made by Violife to its menu.

Violife’s plant-based products are formulated to give the texture and flavours associated with dairy, without compromising on taste, the company, based in Greece, said in a news release.

They are free from common allergens lactose and gluten as well as being soy and nut free with no GMO ingredients, and thus are suitable for people with intolerances, allergies or celiac disease, as well as anyone who enjoys a healthy lifestyle, the release said.
