Feb. 3, 2015, Las Vegas – The International Pizza Expo and concurrent International Pizza Challenge will take place in Las Vegas March 22-26.
Canadian Pizza Chef of the Year Carlo Raillo of Edmonton, Alta., will compete in
the Non-Traditional category, and runner-up Vito Dachille of Laval, Que., in the
Traditional, in the finals of the International Pizza Challenge
on March 26.
The show, which was established more than three decades ago, typically sees more than 10,000
industry professionals gather at the Las Vegas
Convention Center, sponsor Pizza Today said on its website.
“New Operator Monday” will feature
workshops geared specifically to those getting into the pizza business.
On March 24, keynote speaker and workplace expert Jason Dorsey will
explore Generation Y and what pizzeria owners need to know about
employing today’s young staffers. A second keynote address by Marc Malnati of Chicago’s Lou Malnati’s fame is slated for March 25.
Well-known speakers and panelists – including many well-versed
pizzeria operators –
will cover such topics as digital marketing,
restaurant management, branding, wages and benefits, catering and hospitality.
