Panago gets spicy with two new Indian pies

butter_chickenJune 13, 2011, Canada – Panago introduced two new summer recipes to their menu inspired by the unique flavours of Indian cooking.

The new Butter Chicken pizza includes Panago’s
carefully selected butter chicken sauce, grilled chicken, caramelized onions,
red pepper, mozzarella and carries flavours that are rich and creamy. 

The Veggie Korma pizza recipe in comparison,
features a unique Korma sauce as the base, roasted garlic, baby spinach leaves,
green peppers, pineapple, hot banana peppers, mozzarella and cheddar delivering
a delectable coconut flavor.

These pizzas are available for a limited time and Panago says they have
already produced a great response at locations across the country.

“Overall, Panago stays innovative in the pizza
category by evolving with current food trends. Customer’s desire for more
ethnic fare and robust flavour profiles, inspired this launch” says Alex Green,
VP of marketing. “Our goal is to provide our customer with recipes and flavours
that are not only unique to the quick service industry but are also new and
exciting to the pizza category."

Panago also introduced a
new category to the menu that appeals to more of their price conscious
consumers. The “Frugal Favourites” category will feature five popular pizza
recipes at affordable price points. Also, keeping in line with their desire to
provide options for their more health conscious consumers, this category will
also feature a “Veggie-Lite” pizza that has 40 per cent less fat than a regular veggie
pizza.
