During the one-day hiring blitz, candidates are encouraged to visit their local restaurant to learn about the opportunities and benefits of working at McDonald’s, the company said in a news release.
Job seekers may apply in-restaurant, with a possible on-the-spot interview by a member of the restaurant management team.
The day is part of McDonald’s ongoing commitment to providing meaningful employment opportunities at a variety of experience levels, the release said. Participating restaurants will seek to hire for crew, manager, and customer service (Guest Experience Leader) positions.
“Together with fellow franchisees, we are excited to be creating new employment opportunities across Alberta,” said Carly Pancotto, a McDonald’s franchisee. “We encourage people with all different types of experience to apply, whether it is a young person looking for their first role out of school, or a seasoned professional looking for a management position.”
West Hiring Day will take place at participating restaurants in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories. As part of the overall hiring goal, the company is seeking 400 new employees in B.C., 400 in Alberta, and 130 in Saskatchewan.
