Troy, OH – A Canadian operator has won Hobart’s annual custom-designed mixer giveaway at the 2019 International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.

Chris Koutsantonis of Olympia Greek Taverna in Kelowna, B.C., was the lucky winner of The Doughminator, a Legacy HL662 pizza mixer made by the commercial equipment manufacturer and valued at $20,000. Olympia Greek Taverna is a family-owned restaurant offering pizza and pasta options, as well as Greek cuisine since 1968, Hobart said in a news release congratulating the winner.

This year’s design is inspired by the Legacy HL662 mixer’s position as a kitchen heavyweight – a maximum heavy-duty mixer with variable frequency drive (VFD) technology and two fixed speeds for mixing heavy pizza dough, the company said. The mixer is known in the industry for its ability to deliver consistent performance and quality.
