October 21, 2008 – Today, more than 350 Pizza Pizza restaurants, including 191 in
the Greater Toronto Area alone, will be participating in the company's largest
fundraiser – Cheese for Charity – in support of Children's Miracle Network.
October 21, 2008 – Today, more than 350 Pizza Pizza restaurants, including 191 in
the Greater Toronto Area alone, will be participating in the company's largest
fundraiser – Cheese for Charity – in support of Children's Miracle Network.
The fundraiser is part of National Pizza Month, an observance introduced in
Canada by Pizza Pizza in 2005 to celebrate the role and status of pizza in
society.
Throughout the day, Pizza Pizza customers will benefit from reduced
prices on cheese slices and medium cheese or pepperoni pizzas with a portion
of proceeds going to local children's hospitals throughout Ontario and Quebec.
Who:
Ben Campoli, resident pizza historian and head of training at Pizza Pizza
University, the country's eminent centre for pizza training.
Juan Hermosillo, Canada's star pizza spinner; winner of international
competitions and global acclaim.
Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Pizza; veteran of the pizza

The highlight of National Pizza Month is a special fundraiser, Cheese for
Charity Day, which will be held on October 21st. Customers can enjoy specially
priced pizza knowing that a percentage of proceeds will go to help support
local children's hospitals through a partnership with Children's Miracle
Network.
