Mercer Culinary introduces silicone flexible, versatile scrapers and spatulas

Photo: Mercer Culinary Mercer Culinary has added flexible, versatile silicone blade scrapers and spoon spatulas to to its Hell’s Tools line.
The silicone scrapers and spoon spatulas are durable and designed to meet a multitude of culinary needs. They are formulated to withstand temperatures of up to 500 F.
The silicone blade scrapers are suitable for scraping batter, preparing omelets, mixing, or spreading icing and come in three sizes, 10-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch.
The silicone blade spoon spatulas are useful for transferring batter and other thick liquids as well as mixing and scraping the sides of bowls. They come in 10.3-inch, 14.3-inch and 16.3-inch sizes.
Features include a specially formulated nylon handle designed to make the utensils strong and temperature-resistant, a raised kickstand to keep the blade off work surfaces when not in use, and a built-in hook on the handle to prevent the scraper from sliding into bowls, pots and pans.
The tools are NSF-certified, dishwasher-safe, easy to store, and stain- and odour-resistant.
The flexible silicone blades are securely moulded to the handles to prevent separation during use and prevent a potential food and dirt trap.
“Although these aren’t new products to the industry, what makes them stand out from the competition is the unique design which incorporates all the features from other models into one quality product, while offering them at a significantly lower price point,” said Joe Flaherty, senior vice-president in a press release.
